The 2012 Games Legacy Opportunity
Kay chaired the House of Commons briefing on behalf of the Broadcast Centre Legacy group members and is pictured listening to Robert Maguire (Igloo/Carillion) after introducing the film she exec produced to highlight the true scope of the media opportunity offered by the International Broadcast Centre being built for the 2012 Games.
Several months later, after many changes of plan and an economic meltdown in private sector funding, the Government agreed a permanent, public sector funded, facility (cost £355m) with with long-term Legacy a key commitment.
